Parking Restrictions in West Jesmond

near Bayswater Road

These are the two forms of parking restriction in the West Jesmond area, bounded by Osborne Road, Lyndhurst Avenue, Mistletoe Road.


Sign 1 and Sign 2 - and what this means.

These are the times that a non resident/visitor can park without incurring charges:

• Sign 1: Sunday – All day
  Mon – Sat – before 9am, between 11am – 2.30pm, and after 4.30 till 9am next day.
• Sign 2: Sunday – All day
  Mon – Sat – before 8am, for 2 hours only between 8am-6.30pm, from 6.30pm till 8am next day.

The scheme started in March 2006.

The nearest unrestricted space is on the cobbled area directly outside the Metro Station. Next best is the western side of the metro line (accessed via Lynhurst Gardens or Forsyth Road). Therefore, space permitting, there are no potential charges for parking in Brentwood Ave, Mildmay Road, Holmwood Grove, Oakland Road, Mayfair Road, Ashleigh Grove, Lavender Gardens, Forsyth Road and Highbury.

If you park on any of these streets; cross the Metro line at WEST JESMOND METRO STATION, either by the bridge or the subway. Pass the LONSDALE pub on your left into Lonsdale Terrace. The venue is two streets on the left, and is the 1st door on the block on your left. The ground floor flat is just 100m from the METRO STATION.
